High Dynamic Range imagery is true to life and can go beyond into the hyper real. HDR results in a new world of imagery transforming visual storytelling, amazing audiences with unprecedented contrast, color and clarity. It works by preserving a greater range of detail in scene brightness from deepest shadows to brightest highlights. Display technologies are now capable of showing High Dynamic Range, whereas certain high end camera technologies have been able to generate content capable of producing HDR for several years. This seminar will explain High Dynamic Range, highlight some lessons learned in producing effective HDR content, and will have a live demonstration of HDR footage utilizing both consumer and professional display technology. Sony will also present the new Full Frame motion picture camera VENICE
